Sensible shoes are always a good idea on long-haul flights, but somehow we don't think Lady Gaga has many pairs of comfy loafers lying around in her closet.
Instead, her travel get up for a recent trip from London to New York consisted of a leather studded jumpsuit, fishnets and the world's most uncomfortable looking shoes - in white this time! (She wore the same pair in black last week).
The 24-year-old was none too happy though when airport security stopped her on her way through customs at Heathrow and put her through a full body scan. Guess those metal studs were never going to make it through the metal detectors! And the shoes... well, there's plenty of room in those platforms for stashing whatever illegal items take your fancy, we guess.
Apparently Gaga was allowed to go ahead and board her flight once officials realised who she was (in those shoes, how could they not realise?!)
"She wasn't too happy but everything was fine," says a source.
Maybe pack some Ugg boogs next time, eh Gaga?
