Alec Baldwin can cross the Philippines off his holiday wish-list. The actor has been blacklisted by the country's immigration authorities and labelled an "undesirable alien" after cracking a joke about "getting a Filipina mail order bride".

The divorcee delivered the gaff on David Letterman earlier this month but was quick to issue an apology after the Filipino public reacted with outrage and one patriotic Filipino senator even threatened to kick his ass!

Alec wrote an apology on his blog, explaining that "most people understood that this was a joke and took it as such", but the Filipino government is still demanding a bigger and louder apology.

Contrary to popular belief, the mail-order bride industry has been outlawed in the Philippines. And they're obviously still pretty sensitive about the whole issue.

Alec also joked to Letterman about ordering in a Russian bride, but there've been no complaints out of Russia as yet.
