The 35 year-old Colombian star announced last month that she was expecting her first child with soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique. She is said to be around six months' pregnant.
Almost instantly after sharing the photograph, Shakira received almost 50,000 comments and nearly 400,000 likes.
Last week, Shakira confirmed the gender of her unborn baby in a TV interview.
"It's gonna be a boy. This guy [Pique] is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we are having a baby," Shakira told Germany's RTL.
Shakira met her Barcelona-based boyfriend in 2010 when he starred in the music video for her World Cup theme song, 'Waka Waka (This time for Africa.)'
