Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' marriage may have been short, but their divorce looks set to be a marathon.
A date for the trial was expected to be set during a recent status report hearing, but since Kris' lawyer has not successfully served subpoenas to Kim's boyfriend Kanye West and mother Kris Jenner, another status hearing was scheduled for November 28 instead.
"Kris is prepared to see this through to the end and for him that means a very public trial. Kris wants Kanye West and Kris Jenner to be deposed under oath. Kris isn't intimidated by Kim or her lawyer," one source told RadarOnline.com.
Frustrated by delays, Kim's lawyer said her client would attempt to recoup over-US$250,000 in legal fees she’s racked up since proceedings began.
While reports suggest Kim wants the divorce finalised quickly so that she and Kanye can get married and start making babies, a settlement isn't expected this year.
"A status conference has been set for the end of November and Kris' lawyers won't be available during December to go to trial because they are engaged in other matters involving their other clients," the insider said.
