Before heading off with the rest of the One Direction guys to the US, Zayn spent some quality time with Perrie playing about on a scooter, sharing a long kiss.
"It was a very sweet farewell," a source told The Sun.
"They hugged, snogged and mucked about on a scotter while they were waiting for Zayn to be picked up. You could see they are genuinely really into each other."
The couple have rumoured to be dating since last year and only last month hinted their relationship on Twitter, but this is the first PDA they’d had.
"Just went to see Avengers Assemble (UK name for The Avengers) and it was #boring. Good night though! XD," Perrie tweeted.
Zayn responded later with, "Yeah tonight was fun. Let’s do it again sometime ; ) xx."
Zayn seems to not look far for girlfriends, his former squeeze being Rebecca Ferguson, who participated in the same season of X Factor as 1D.
Hopefully the relationship with Perrie will last longer than his four-month stint with Rebecca.
"Both were dubious whether they could make it work due to the pressure of their pop star statuses — but they decided they like each other too much not to give it a go," said the source.
"So they’ve spent months getting to know each other to make sure they were on track before they went public."
