Suri Cruise inspires Armani fashion line

Her mum Katie Holmes is set to design a new range of swanky kids' clothes for Armani which will be inspired by the trendy toddler.

The collection, called 'Katie Holmes for Armani', will launch early next year with a series of designer clothes for toddlers.

Armani for bubs? Let's hope the poor privileged little things don't spill baby food all over their pricey threads.

Later in 2009, Katie plans to release a collection of clothes for older kids. And in 2010 she'll be moving on to women's clothes and handbags.

In case you're wondering how the former Dawson's Creek star just suddenly woke up and reinvented herself as a fashion designer … Katie and her husband Tom Cruise are good friends with Georgio Armani.

Georgio designed Katie's wedding gown, and he dresses her for most red carpet events. The designer has taken Katie under his wing lately and has been teaching her the ins and outs of the fashion world.

Katie says 23-month-old Suri will be her inspiration for the clothing line, so we decided to take a look at the fashion icon that is Suri Cruise…

Doesn't it seem strange to you that katie and tom are suddenly friends with georgio armani, it just seems like a whole lot of sneekiness in order for attention to Suri. Doesn't she have enough?

IT IS JUST A LITTLE KID, GET OVER IT! If I had the money or a kid for that matter i would dress them up too. BUT i would let them roll on the ground and be a kid aswell
The light has gone out in Katie's eyes. Her whole face used to light up when she smiled now she just looks sad and kind of lost.
If the rumours are remotely true about another Scientologist actually 'Fathering'...ahem...donating...I think we may be looking at Suri TRAVOLTA...She looks like his other kids...Fuel for thought...Hmmm...
Personally i believe this dysfunctional family have exploited this innocent child with respect to the clothes she is wearing. Kids are not trend setters as they would rather be enjoyin life's simple pleasures such as playing, outside, with friends or with their dolls in their room, rather than wearing a designer dress that obviously doesn't condemn animal cruelty. This is a very sad sight to see when society accepts the vilafication of such unjust actions. To be a mother is an honour not an opportunity to promote ones wealth and status.
Katie Holmes for Armani - silly marketing.. katie has got fake, copycat, girl dominated by men written all over her. Why would any woman want to buy an Armani product with a stigma like that attached to it..Let alone for there child? Who would want there child growing up like Katie? sure she is successful, but she is no Oprah or Angelina Jolie. What has she done that hasnt been completely her manager or toms idea?
When I was a teenager, Katie was Joey on Dawson's Creek, and I adored her. We all did. She was a teen idol, and every girl next door wanted to be her. After Dawson's, she grew into a beautiful woman. She seemed independent, strong, hardworking and smart. She was such a good example to young women trying to make it in the world. Then she went off and married Tom Cruise, and became all Stepfordy and opening businesses whose objective it is to amuse the filthy rich, and that you couldn't open unless you marry someone who knows Armani. I know it may be a way of her trying to do her “own thing”, but I think she can’t do much without her chief “okaying” it. What sort of an example does all this set for young women? Despite the undeniable fact that Katie and Suri are gorgeous, and look really stylish, it is all superficial as are Katie’s new stepford quests. Angelina Jolie and Oprah are examples of people who use their spare cash to make a difference in the world, where it is needed.
i mean good for kate for not living off her husband, but then again did she know the desiger before or after she got married and again she follows her husband way of life style. She has no identity of herself. She is a follower and will continue to be if she stays with tom Designer kids clothing. cmon let her kids play in dirt. Give suri a break. She needs a normal and real family
